OpenKomodo (or the Open Komodo Project) was an open-source initiative created by ActiveState to build an open-standard platform and Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tailored for web development. Originally seeded in 2007 from the core code of ActiveState’s commercial editor, the project completely evolved in late 2022 when ActiveState officially retired the entire product line and released the full ActiveState OpenKomodoIDE GitHub Repository to the community.
