RadioMaximus Portable is a powerful tool for listening to and recording internet radio stations directly from a USB flash drive. Because it requires no installation, you can carry your entire radio library, favorite stations, and personal settings to any computer.

Here is how to set up and use RadioMaximus Portable on the go. What You Need

A working Windows computer with an active internet connection. A USB flash drive with at least 100 MB of free space. The latest ZIP archive of RadioMaximus Portable. Step 1: Download and Extract the Software

Open your web browser and visit the official website of the software developer.

Navigate to the downloads section and select the portable version (usually packed as a ZIP file). Connect your USB flash drive to your computer.

Open the downloaded ZIP file and extract all its contents directly into a folder on your USB drive. Name the folder something recognizable, like “RadioMaximus Portable”. Step 2: Launch the Application Open your USB drive in Windows File Explorer. Navigate to your new RadioMaximus folder.

Locate the main executable file, typically named RadioMaximus.exe. Double-click the file to launch the program.

Note: Because it is portable, all configuration files, downloaded album art, and station caches will be saved inside this specific folder instead of the host computer’s registry. Step 3: Find and Save Stations

Once the interface opens, you can immediately begin building your catalog.

Use the Directory: Click on the “Online” or “Directory” tab to browse thousands of global stations filtered by country, genre, or network.

Search Directly: Use the top search bar to type in specific keywords, call signs, or locations.

Add to Favorites: Right-click any station that you enjoy and select “Add to Favorites.” This ensures you can access it quickly from any machine. Step 4: Record Live Audio

One of the best features of this software is its ability to capture live broadcasts.

Single Track Recording: Click the “Record” button while listening to a station to save the current song.

Scheduled Recording: Navigate to the “Schedule” tab to set up automatic recordings for specific times and days, ensuring you never miss a live show.

Multi-Station Recording: RadioMaximus allows you to record multiple stations simultaneously, depending on your internet bandwidth. Step 5: Safely Move to Another Computer

When you are ready to use your portable radio setup on a different PC, proper disconnection is key to preventing data corruption. Close the RadioMaximus application completely.

Wait a few seconds for the USB drive activity light to stop blinking.

Click the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon in your Windows system tray.

Eject the drive, unplug it, and plug it into any other internet-connected Windows PC to pick up exactly where you left off.
