You can reverse your mouse wheel scrolling direction in Windows 11 either directly through the Windows Settings app (available in recent updates) or by modifying the Windows Registry if the built-in toggle is missing for your specific mouse. Method 1: Use the Windows Settings App (Easiest)
If your system is updated to the Windows 11 2024 update (Version 24H2) or later, Microsoft includes a built-in toggle for external mice: Press Windows Key + I to open the Settings app. Click on Bluetooth & devices in the left sidebar. Scroll down on the right pane and select Mouse. Locate the Scrolling section.
Click the dropdown menu next to Scrolling direction and switch it from Down motion scrolls down to Down motion scrolls up.
(Note: If you want to change this for a laptop trackpad instead, go to Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad > Scroll & zoom to find the equivalent setting).
Method 2: Use the Registry Editor (For Older Windows Versions or Missing Toggles)
If the dropdown menu does not appear in your Settings app, you can manually flip the direction by changing the mouse’s system identity registry file. Step A: Find your Mouse ID
